0:00 don't abdicate the responsibility anybody besides me ever noticed that if you don't address things right away what ends up happening it lingers and does it get worse most people in leadership do what they wanna do instead of doing what their organization needs can you explain the difference of like trusting your team and delegating versus abdicating abdicating is a big word what that means is like kings and Queens in the past used to like abdicate their right to the throne look I don't wanna be the emperor anymore I don't wanna be the king anymore there's a difference between taking your hands off something and taking your eyes off something
0:30 what a lot of you guys do cause I witness it you actually don't delegate it you abdicate so you're like hey do this and you completely take your hands off it and you like don't even pay attention anymore and that usually doesn't work out very well at all I can take my hands off something whether it's transaction coordination listing coordination Adele was just saying she's like yeah I hire somebody but then I follow right back behind them and follow their work it's not actually delegation but usually the reason why is cause I don't have a system that I trust and usually it's because I don't trust people it's actually like an internal thing you don't wanna abdicate what you wanna do is delegate
