Transcript excerpt

0:10 Hi Friends In this video, I am going to talk about  Server-side rendering and hydration in angular. In the early days of web development, the architecture for building  web applications was simpler. Monolithic architecture was prevalent. In this  model, the entire application user interface, business logic, and data access was  bundled together into a single codebase. The server generated HTML pages and served  them directly to the client’s browser. For a web application, having 5 pages,  there will be 5 separate html pages.

0:43 When the user navigates from one page to another,  the browser, which is the client, requests the server to serve the respective html and the  server in turn gives the html as the response. This will be shown in the browser. Here, server-side rendering was  the primary rendering pattern. The server dynamically generated the html  content based on user requests and data. The complete html page was  sent to the client's browser. The advantages of this server-side rendering approach is, faster initial page load  and better search engine optimization.
