I just kind of figured that you know it would naturally happen. I would meet someone the right person. We'd get married. We'd have kids. But now that I am 45 and single I realize that that door is closing or

So today I want to talk about the quiet grief of someone who is child-free not by choice and also share a moment with you when I just kind of finally realized what I was losing. So a few months ago I attended my friend's son's baptism. I was seated at one of her friends you know seems very nice. She's married. She has two kids.

1:01 So we got to chatting and in conversation she asked me if I had any kids. I shared that I didn't have any kids and she exclaimed wow. And I was like okay. Like I don't know what my face looked like but it's like I'm feeling like I'm a rare specimen or something. So she backpedaled and she said well I guess there are pros and cons both ways.
